2022 Sinistra
Tasting notes
We think this stunning left bank inspired relative to our right bank Bellissima Rossa is starting to really show off after spending a whole year in bottle resting for just the right time. Please check out what two world class wine reviewers had to say about our 2022 Sinistra. We are so humbled and thankful to them for their kind words. Enjoy!
Jeremy Young – International Wine Report
93 Points– “The 2022 Tsillan Cellars Sinistra Red Wine from Columbia Valley is a richly textured Bordeaux blend that exudes depth and complexity. It presents a deep garnet hue, with aromas of ripe blackcurrant, dark plum, and wild sage interwoven with nuances of clove, espresso-dusted cocoa, and aged cedar. On the palate, layers of black cherries and brûléed toffee unfold, accented by graphite, umami-laced soy, and a whisper of Christmas spice. Finishing with a full-bodied structure with velvety tannins and a lingering, spice-tinged ending.”
Dr Owen Bargreen -2022 Tsillan Cellars ‘Sinistra’ Red Wine- “The 2022 ‘Sinistra’ combines mainly Cabernet Sauvignon (45%) with smaller portions Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. This is round and well-balanced on the palate, offering chocolate and coffee ground notes alongside green herbs and cassis accents. Drink 2025-2031” 92 Points.
